Japanese Jack-O-Lantern

Japanese pumpkins are small, green, delicious, and very hard. It's not as easy, but they make great Jack-O-Lanterns for Halloween. Boo!

Higan Sept 22, 2013

Beautiful September weather. First we went pear picking and ate our fill. I had 4 pears, about 10 between us. We liked the farmer's truck with the top cut off so they an drive under the trees. Then off to "Hakuho-no-sato" We walked around the grounds and saw their ancient Japanese village reconstruction and water plant garden and had lunch. After, we went to "Kotobuki-jo" (Sweets Castle) and tasted lots of free samples. Fun Day!

Golden Week 2013 Mori-no-Kuni
