Beautiful September weather. First we went pear picking and ate our fill. I had 4 pears, about 10 between us. We liked the farmer's truck with the top cut off so they an drive under the trees. Then off to "Hakuho-no-sato" We walked around the grounds and saw their ancient Japanese village reconstruction and water plant garden and had lunch. After, we went to "Kotobuki-jo" (Sweets Castle) and tasted lots of free samples. Fun Day!

Rika-Fashion Diva
Our 5 year old, Rika is something else. She can turn the water works on or off at will and thinks boys are toys. Recently she said her dream was to be gravure idol, swimsuit and lingerie models who pose in provocative positions, like the "etchy one-chan" Mitsu Dan. She really knows how to play up to the camera and doesn't mind showing a little leg. Personally, I wish she'd set her goals a little higher. What kind of future is in store for us? Yikes!
Happy Birthday Hana 2013
Hana turned 8 back in February, this year, Wow! She's already in 3rd grade. She got a game from the Japanese TV show, Tore, putting celebrity contestants through Indiana Jones-esk death trap situations where they have to answer trivia questions and collect golden statues. The show has since been cancelled, but it was one of our favorites. In her game you have to maneuver a ball over metal rods and drop it into a hole. We also had a nice cake.

Christmas 2012
We had a busy Christmas season. We went to a potluck at our friend Diane's house and saw Santa. The holidays were fun, except for the last week before winter break I got Chicken Pox and was in bed for a week. I don't remember feeling so sick. Anyway, Santa came. Hana got a pogo stick and Rika got a pretty jewelry and treasure box.
